Biography

Pierre Moossa serves as Coordinating Producer for NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the Premier League. He also serves as director for NBC Olympics’ figure skating and gymnastics coverage, Notre Dame Football, and the French Open.

A 16-time Emmy Award winner, Moossa has worked on 10 Olympic Games, beginning as a runner during the Atlanta Olympics. He was a production associate at the 2000 Sydney Games, where he won his first Emmy for Outstanding Live Event Turnaround. In 2002, Moossa won two Emmy Awards, one for NBA on NBC and the other for Outstanding Live Sports Special during the Salt Lake Winter Olympic Games. Moossa was also an associate director for the daytime and late night studio show during the 2004 Athens Games, where he won another Emmy Award. 

In 2006, Moossa was a feature producer for downhill skiing at the Torino Olympic Winter Games, and then served as a producer for the 2008 Beijing Games. At the Vancouver Olympic Winter Games in 2010, Moossa was the lead director for short track speed skating and an associate director for figure skating and the Closing Ceremony. For the 2012 London Olympics, he produced beach volleyball. In Rio in 2016, Moossa directed Gymnastics and the Closing Ceremony, and for the last two Winter Games, he directed Figure Skating and the Closing Ceremony. 

In addition, Moossa was the director for NBC’s Super Bowl LII Pre-game Show in February 2018. That marked his fourth Super Bowl assignment, having previously worked on Super Bowl XLIX, the most-watched show in U.S. television history. He worked for six years as one of the production leaders for NBC Sports’ award-winning Sunday Night Football coverage. 

Throughout his career at NBC Sports, Moossa has served in roles on NBC Sports’ coverage of the U.S. Open; Triple Crown horse racing coverage (Including directing this past May’s foggy Preakness Stakes); The Breeders’ Cup, Westminster Dog Show, National Heads-Up Poker Championship, NBA, Wimbledon; and French Open. He was also the Executive Producer of NBC’s Poker After Dark.

Moossa graduated from Vanderbilt University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
